Hausa actor Muhammadu Sani Idris Kauru, popularly known as Moda, has said that the news of his death was leaked to the media.
In an interview with the BBC as part of our series on tackling the problem of fake news, Moda said he was unhappy with the news that God had killed him.
In May, the Hausa player suffered a concussion that led to him being hospitalized.
Later it was rumored that he was already home.
However, some of his colleagues visited the hospital and took pictures of him to disprove the news of his death.
The legendary striker told the BBC he was shocked to learn of the news of his death.
